I have a 743 that the engine and radiator, have been rebuilt. Overflow tank and radiator cap are new. My question: After filling the radiator and expansion tank at "cold" level and running the engine to temp fluid goes into the expansion tank just as it should. But when the engine cools the...
I just replaced the temp and volt gauge on my 743. You can use generic gauges but have to modify the housing quite a bit. The originals mount differently and you have to enlarge the hole a little. 2" gauges are a LITTLE over 2". Originals would be better if your doing a complete rebuild. I was...
My Bobcat 743 stalls at times but restarts. Unfortunately it always seems to do it on a hill. Everything I do here is either uphill, downhill or side slope. This old machine will still roll a little with no power and the brake is worthless. Can get scary. After is sits for a couple of minutes it...
YAHOOOO The new pump from LPS works. Still running machine on jack stands to get all of the air out but I now have lift and tilt. Thanks everyone for all of the help and suggestions.
Got machine on jack stands and connected hose to pump output. Pumps fluid but no pressure when re-connected. Ordered new pump from Loader Parts Source. Should be here Monday.
Got pump back from my alleged re builder. He said they reversed something but now it should work. Reinstalled pump but still doesn't lift. Still trying to get all of the air out of the pumps and drive motors.
Pulled the pump, again, and took it back to my "re builder". See what happens.May end up just replacing it. Looks like LPS has them for $553.12 plus shipping.
Is the charge pressure sensor the one on top of the rear pump. I see another sensor (not wired) on the block with the feed/supply from the oil tanks. Ser # is 151xxxx
What if the seal was leaking between the main drive pump and the lift pump. The drive works good but not sure if the drive pump gets it's oil supply through the lift pump. Going to check with my re builder Monday. He said it was a vane pump but according to my serial # it should be a gear pump...
I'll pull it the 1st of the week. I cracked the line to the control valve and fluid come out but no pressure. Tricky trying to check things with the cab up. Machine like to creep. I ran it up and down the drive today and all of the air seems to be out of the drive pumps. My "rebuilt" pump must...
No pressure at the aux port. The bucket tilts a "little". I think it's just air in the lines because the drive motors groan a little sometimes like its low on fluid. I just moved it back and forth. Just not sure how to bleed the air out. Just don't want to do any damage.
