My 763 has the BOSS indicating system which seems to be functioning normally with the exception of the water temp indicator. It never indicates more than 2 "bars" on the scale. I found the thermostat had failed (open) and replaced it with a Kubota part (160 degree) and was sure that would solve...
Be sure to clean (sand and/or wirebrush) the lugs on both ends of the battery ground wire as a weak ground can keep the starter from spinning though the solenoid still clicks
