Yeah thanks Tazza. I took a punt and left it. Only did one side. Just ran the machine and looks like its not leaking at the moment I hope it stays that way.

743 Lift arm hydro cylinder glad nut

Thanks Dan You are right found that part number to. They do sell them in Aust but about $300AUD delivered. See how I go. Might buy one from the USA if I stuff my one. No lock ring they should just undo. The gland is Alloy so should not damage the steel thread in the ram tube. FYI, the Bobcat...

743 Lift arm hydro cylinder glad nut

Hello I have not been around for a while but still have my 743. The lift arm cylinders needed the seals done, was able to get one done, the glad nut came undone no problems. The other side only moves about 5mm than locks solid. Either the alloy thread has broken inside and bound it all up of...

The others are correct with it being the starter motor I am sure. 60secs glow plug time is way too long from my experience, 20secs is heaps on my 743.

    Hydro hose connectors weeping

Thanks Tazza. The name 'JIC' is what was really handy, I found this type of seal using google, I may have to call into my hydro shop and ask. http://www.flaretite.com/flaretite.php I will replace the second hose on the ram as it maybe spraying oil onto the new one but I doubt it.

    Hydro hose connectors weeping

This is a general Hydro question. My 743 has two hydro connectors weeping (dripping oil) on one of the main arm lift rams. I have replaced one of the hoses and the other is original Bobcat but both are weeping. The other end of both these hoses seals fine at the joins in the engine bay. Being a...

    743 Chain Case oil change

Oh yes, hindsight is a great thing. If I was working on these machines all the time thats what I would do. This will more that likely be the only time I will ever change that oil.

    743 Chain Case oil change

Thanks again OM and Tazza, not sure how I created the second thread for the same thing, I do not remember hitting the new thread button. Yeah Tazza I poured some kero in the case and drove the machine back and forward a few times so it got everywhere (or atleast enough everywhere). I made a new...

    743 Chain Case oil change

Yeah that would have been nice, but another poor design, there is not drain plug in the chain case. See page 33 of the Operators Manual.
