    S300 Delux panel password

This S300 was revived after sitting in the back of a nursery for 4 years. Rats had eaten the wiring harness and possums tore up the seat. The machine does start by removing the start solenoid and jumping the starter with a screwdriver. Trouble is, the deluxe panel does not want to come on and...

    863 injection system un-attached lever

It has to be the fuel shutdown lever. It is standard on that model of Deutz engine. I have seem machines where the solenoid burned out and some redneck rigged a choke cable to it to shut down the machine. On Bobcats it should never be connected to anything.

    S300 wiring diagram

I will check out the machine and get the serial number. Since it is a friend's machine I did not have a manual handy. My machines are all totally different. I know the machine will start by jumping the relays, but the fuses were corroded and I am in the process of cleaning the terminals. I...

    S300 wiring diagram

Anyone have one handy? I am trying to help a friend who has a dead S300 and all kinds of other problems. Since my dad died last month and I was taking care of him since last year, I have been too busy to get any projects done. My friend's machine has been sitting over a year and I would like to...

    763 Engine removal

It takes me about an hour to get the engine out. The easiest way is to remove engine and hydraulic pumps together. Before doing anything, buy degreaser and get the pressure washer handy. Clean out the drain holes under the machine and blast away. The engine does not have to come out unless it...

Keep old tires when getting new ones?

I thought I was the only one who kept a set or worn tires for use. The convincing moment was when I saw someone running a 743 with bald turf tires. Although the operator didn't seem to care how he turned the grass was not getting torn out. Those were the 16 inch wide rims so when I was offered a...

    953 for $2400

For some reason around here there are no good deals anymore. The cheapest skid steers I have seen are worn out with an asking price of at least 4K. Perhaps someday the good deals will return, at least I hope so!

    need help please

Probably the hydraulic control valve. The spool seals go bad and leak. You can buy the kit from Bobcat or go to your local hydraulic supply to hopefully match up the originals. It is a time-consuming job but has been discussed elsewhere on this forum.

    763 G V2203-E engine removal question?

The best way is to lift the cab and remove the fan assembly by the 4 bolts that hold it to the upper frame. With it gone you have plenty of access to the engine area. It is not necessary to lift the cab to remove the engine once it is unbolted. You can unbolt the belt/bellhousing from the...

    BC 763 major hydro leak!

The leak is usually at the control rod end or the spring end at the rear. You can service the valve in the machine but it has to be very, very clean to do it. I pulled mine out because it was rusty and needed to be cleaned and painted. To take it out you need to remove a lot of hydraulic tubing...

    743 Tow Valves?

The older machines could be moved by unbolting the hydraulic motors from the gearboxes. As mentioned above it is not a good idea to move the machine by allowing the hydraulic motors to spin, unless you fill them with oil and loop the hose. Most newer Bobcats can be towed by disengaging the...
