I have a 279D. When I got it, I soon discovered it would not hold a charge. Replaced battery, ground side cable (from battery to frame), new alternator. Still no charge. I am not sure what to do. Is there a relay that could be bad? Help!

Here is a picture of the back of the Alternator. Two red wires and a green wire. The green wire is the exciter wire. I was told to run that wire to a bulb.
