I have a 279D. When I got it, I soon discovered it would not hold a charge. Replaced battery, ground side cable (from battery to frame), new alternator. Still no charge. I am not sure what to do. Is there a relay that could be bad? Help!

I am seeing oil on the track, just under one of the rollers. I guess that means a ruptured seal? Probably pretty hard to repair?

Change out the starter. The old one is cooked. And it was a new starter. It got very hot.

My alternator is a little different than the G.M. It is more like to original Bobcat type

Here is a picture of the back of the Alternator. Two red wires and a green wire. The green wire is the exciter wire. I was told to run that wire to a bulb.

My old 743, has a nearly new Alternator. However it is not charging anymore. I need exact details as to how to "rewire" it. Hoping it is still working. It has very little hours on it.
