    Fuel problem on 751

Sorry, man. Soemtimes a guy just has to suck it up and slap leather.

    funky drive still

If your hydraulic pimp is the problem, you don't necessarily have to buy it from Bobcat. It has a standard Type 1A mount(I think) but in any case, a dealer can match it. Displacement and rated pressure have to be matched, though. A dealer can look at the plate or embossed numbers and figure that...

    I can't even SPELL sawd

Thought I'd hit the big time this last weekend, took my first crack at doing some landscaping with the aid of my pop's T300. Tilled my sisters back yard, then attached the landsape rake to level and prepare for -sawd-. They were all mightily impressed because I knew how to drive a bobcat(Hey, I...

    Bolts size 520 hydrostatic drive

Steve-I read your post last night and looked up the info to reply today-I'm glad you got such good help and you're happy with your local dealer. Remember them when the yellow machine salesman comes sniffing around=).

    funky drive still

Man it's been a long time since I worked on one of these, but in reading the thread something came back-read on.--The vane pump is rebuildable, IF the insides of the housing aren't scratched or gouged, and the bushings are still tight-a set of vanes and o-rings and a seal, I seem to remember...

    funky drive still

OK-this is the 631 right? Your "pump" is actually a stack of three pumps-two hydrostatic pumps-one for each drive motor(left or right) and your hydraulic pump(also called charge or implement pump) bolted onto the end farthest from the engine. Worse case scenario-your hydrostatic pumps and drive...

    Fuel problem on 751

Yeah-what Taz said. I may have been premature about the warning of filling the crank with fuel. If the fuel pump is isolated from the crankcase, as may be with the belt-driven Peugot(going on momory here) in which case you would have an external fuel leak. That is, if the fuel was leaking at...

    Hmmm....Yankee Engineering? =)

    No Reverse

I'm at work on lunch-checked the manual. As above, but depending on your pump model, the relief valves may not be interchangeable, so if they look different, don't swap them around, but I think your problem may be in here.

    No Reverse

First check your linkage and make sure it's tight and you're getting full stroke in both directions. It could be a replenishing valve in the hydrostatic pump. Try swapping them and see if you loose forward drive-then that's it. Just the act of removing the valves may dislodge a piece of foreign...

    Oil Contamination Worries

You're right. Unless you're running new(under warranty) machines and attachments it's probably not worth worrying about. I do wonder where it's going, though. Bobcat is getting more adamant about using Black Gold and I've heard rumor about dye. I bought some Ingersoll-Rand engine oil the other...

    leaky pump

I didn't get a chance to look over that stuff today-sorry, I'll try again tomorrow. I'm going on memory, here. I think that port block serves to divide flow between huydraulic and hydrostatic returns, as well as provide for switching for warning lights, and filter by-pass. Any thing leaking...

    7-pin ACD: Curse or Godsend????????

I just re-read this entire thread, and it seems I went off half-cocked and blew a bunch of hot air without adressing the original issue-I apologize(I HATE IT when I do that). There has been some compatibiltiy issues with older attachments, but it is becoming a rarity. Bobcat has been tuning the...

    leaky pump

Oh-I was wayy off there! Did you try a drag-link socket? That's a socket that fits onto a ratchet-Instead of going on to a nut or bolt it tapers to a blade that fits into the slot. I'm not sure if this is your dilemma-I'll look it up and post back tomorrow.

    731 steering problem

Do the hydraulics work? The hydraulic pump is also the charge pump(if memory serves)-if its worn, busted shaft(common failure), etc, you'll get that symptom-no oil in the hydrostats. I think that was a vickers vane pump-let us know what you find!
