    l555 What to look for

Those are really great little machines. Mine has been awesome. For its age 1300 hours is nothing. I'd guess mine has over 10k hours now. The good news is no computer, so most all electrical problems can be traced down, fixed or bypassed pretty easy. Does it have the gas motor or Perkins diesel...

    ls 170 seat differences

Mike10, I deeply appreciate your help but after looking up the cushions it's still too expensive. It will cost almost $400 just to replace the cushions. Guess I'll just d uct tape em up let it ride. Again I appreciate your help.

    ls 170 seat differences

Yes, its just the cushions. I wasn't aware you could get just the cushions. I thought the whole assembly had to be bought. Thanks for your help once again Mike10!

    ls 170 seat differences

Well, it appears that I have the suspension seat which is crazy expensive. Do I have to replace it with the same seat or can I use the standard seat? Could I also use a generic seat like from northern tool?

    ls 170 seat differences

2001 ls 170. It's in desperate need of a new seat. Messicks shows two different kinds of seats, a standard and a suspension seat. How do you tell the difference? I dont have a clue which one mine has, the website doesnt give any details.

    LS170 temps

Something new happened today. Here in northern GA, we are currently expierencing 100+ degree heat during the day. I was wanting to move a mound of sand and while loading I noticed the engine temp of my LS170 rose to 208 degrees. I have worked my machine much harder than this and never seen the...

    New Holland L 553

It sounds like the drive chain is broken. Drain the chain case and open the side inspection panel between the wheels. You may need a mirror and flashlight to check out everything. If the chain isnt broken and just has too much slack, the adjustment is on top of the case on the front with a...

New Holland LS170 and LS180 owners.

I'm the second owner of my 170, had 2200 hours on it when I got it. I've put around 500 hours on it myself. Only problem I've had was an electrical short in the oil pressure warning circuit. Previous owner told me he had the turbo charger replaced around 1500 hours. As far as fuel...

New Holland LS170 and LS180 owners.

Well, I cannot attest to the 180. But I do own a 170 and love the machine. I have a brush grapple, 5 ft brush cutter, forks, smooth bucket and tooth bucket. For general work around the farm, ie. road maintenance, hay moving, clearing etc., it has served me well and I cannot think of a time I...

    Seat Belt Bypass

Mike10, I do appreciate your concern for safety with these machines. With that being said, I just don't see it's purpose for SOME situations. I am an owner/operator, no one else gets on my machine, therefore I believe it to be my choice and my risk. When I'm working up my firewood I keep the...
