+1 on the thumb switch, Have you checked your radiator to see if it is plugged from all the debris, I've noticed some temp increase with mine because of loose debris (leaves and such)with mine due to the radiator screen getting covered.

    Loader arm switch problem??

Well guys, mystery is solved. It ended up being the battery ground cable, someone before me must have had a problem with the lug that grounds it to the motor and just rigged it. The dealer said it was just wrapped around a bolt and the lug was gone. I haven't used it yet but they said it worked...

    Loader arm switch problem??

Well it looks like my luck is getting worse, tonight I pulled the panel for the relays and fuses an switched out the relay, when I started it it ran for about 30 seconds and the oil pressure light came on and it threw the 04-14 code to confirm extreme low engine oil pressure. And then shuts...

    Loader arm switch problem??

I went home for lunch today and jumped in it and it started fine. I know I replaced the battery last winter. I do hear the relay by my calves clicking on and off. After work I will pull the panel off and see what I can find.

    Loader arm switch problem??

No I didn't charge the battery, I just let it run for quite some time, Do you think with it running it could be in a low voltage state and not wanting to hold that relay in when charged? I figured with it running it would have enough voltage to pull in that solenoid?? Thanks

    Loader arm switch problem??

No it's the green button that releases the Hydraulics, for the loader arm, it will work...sometimes but not for more than 5 minutes. The park brake realeases, i can drive it in the traction overide button (yellow) but thats it I haven't tried my aux. yet. to see if the switches and such work. It...

    Loader arm switch problem??

I have a 2000 773 G series. Last Thursday I was splitting some wood and had my wife running the controls for the Hyd. and I had her push and hold the Hyd. release button to kill the motor, well the key stayed on until late last night when we returned from a camping trip I kept hearing this...

    Bobcat 463 tipped

I would guess as the other fellas, I wouldn't jump right in and turn the motor over either, i guess it depends on the size of the glow plug hole and how much is in the combustion chamber, you could still have the possibility of bending stuff, valves, conn. rods....etc. if the fluids or fuel...

thanks guys with the help, i got to ask something else

I guess it may sound better than it is, LOL, I should have mentioned that I know the people that I have worked for. You know one guy that farms and of course he tells the next farmer and that farmer knows you so it kinda snow balls. I got lucky for sure, maybe I can get some more over the winter...

thanks guys with the help, i got to ask something else

I bought a grapple bucket to help out with my firewood, that alone has gotten around and I have been hired to help with many small clearing projects for some of the local farmers with their fence rows and such. The grapple has already payed for itself in the first 2 months of owning it.

    skidsteer log splitter??

No I don't have gauge on it, but I can. I haven't timed the cycle of it, i was so disgusted by what it wouldn't do that I haven't looked at what it will do. I agree I don't understand how how this 5hp honda motors are putting out 27 ton splitters, I think there is something fishy about that!! If...

Could someone steer me in the right direction ??

What year/model are you looking at? I bought a 2000 773 with enclosed cab and heat (no air) it had 850 hours on it at a dealer that was a rental, it was a very clean machine (until I got it!) They gave me a 72" low profile bucket because they couldn't find the one that was for it. It was like a...

    help if you can

Depends on the size of the skidsteer and trailer, I have a Bobcat 773 that weighs around 6000-6300, but I have a grapple bucket that weighs about 1000 on it's own so say 7300 plus another 2500-3500# for a trailer, I think that would be a bit much for a 1/2 ton, maybe a very occasional use but...

    skidsteer log splitter??

The log splitter pump I'm using is a 16 gpm, The cylinder is a 4x24 with 1/2" lines going to the cylinder as that is what the port sizes are on the cylinder, I was using the controls in the Bobcat to operate the splitter. I was wanting to try everything out before I did more work to find out...

    skidsteer log splitter??

I just built a log splitter and I'm temporarily powering it with my Bobcat until I get all the kinks worked out with the 4-way wedge. I figured the Bobcat would have more hyd power than the little Haldex 2-stage pumps, but it appears as it doesn't. Has anyone had the same dealings with this...
