Is this a fair Bobcat service invoice?

There's always the question if all the work was actually done. When you do it yourself, you know what ya got. Buddy's wife had a Cadillac CTS, always serviced at the dealer. Around 100K miles it started running like shit, and using a quart of oil in 300 miles. Turns out after some head...

Is this a fair Bobcat service invoice?

Would be very interesting to compare their filter prices to Baldwin or Wix prices

    How's life?

My Mustang 342 sits because one of the wheel motors has a leaky seal that fills the chain case. Been sitting for too many years now. I spent a lot of time fixing things when I got it, including re-building one of the wheel motors ($400 in parts). Only used it probably less than 10 hrs, then this...

    Throwing good money after bad

Wow. It's handy to remember most skid steer machines are a rolling demolition derby mechanically speaking. Something is always wearing out or about to break......and needs replacing. My 1983 Mustang 342 is pretty tired, I've put a few hundred bux into it doing repairs myself. $8k would be 3...

    1983 Mustang 342

It was 3 days between making the deal and picking it up. The seller got many calls on it and he said everyone was either disappointed or mad it was sold. And every caller said it was a great deal. It has little wear, but sat outside most of it's life which rotted the hoses and has caused...

    1983 Mustang 342

It works pretty good for limited use. I just use it on my property. Biggest issue for me is its very fast even with the engine just above idle. I plan on installing a flow control on the Aux ports to slow it down. I got this one for $725, had to replace all the hoses.

Anyone have the measurements for the Bobtach setup?

Digging up an old thread..... Oldmachinist, I would like to see the measurements in the link you posted. But the page is private and needs a password. Can you post another link that works? Thanks!

    Mustang 342 oil leak advice....

I have an oil leak...underneath the left side drive motor, the chain adjusting plate has 2 large nuts on it. It looks like oil is coming out around the threads of the studs. Every time I move the machine and then it sits awhile, there is a puddle underneath it. And it seems like the level in...

    ARPS Backhoe for 342

I scored this small ARPS backhoe on Craigslist a couple weeks ago and the price (I think) was too good to pass up... $650. It is a 3 point mount and I want to adapt it to my Mustang 342. I have read other posts on mounting backhoes to skid steers and it seems that just the fast-a-tach mount is...

    Mustang 940 starts hard

Does it have glow plugs and are they all working? Sadly, it is more likely to be worn rings and valves lowering compression than the air filter.....

    Anybody have a Service/shop manual for a 1982 342?

Plumbing a Myers power angle snow plow to a 342

I just looked at a 940 manual.......it looks like the AUX valve IS a spool valve? The valve lever on mine is not hooked up so I didn't know..... I will take out the seat and have a close look at my valve (I don't have a manual for a 342) If it is a spool, that will make hooking up the plow angle...
