Today I finally got the 743 all back together and moving. At first felt like a rattle rocket, but once i got the steering adjusted and the parking brake adjusted its feeling alot better. I had 2 small fluid leaks but tightened the connections and its all good.
The only thing I am trying to get...
I have the port block off right now and am changing the bronze filter and cleaning out the block completely.
I will verify all lines when I re-assemble, however I did check through them and they all appeared correct.
Though that would make sense, the lift and tilt functions work normally.
I have been attempting to change the port block bronze filter.... I think I broke something trying to get it out. how are you supposed to take it out. I see the filter in there, the bronze with a threaded end. I assumed I...
This 743 has been sitting around my dads yard for 15 years or so. It has under 500 hours on it.
About 10 years ago:
-My Dad was driving it and broke the u-joint between the motor and hydrostatic pump so he had no movement of any kind, just motor running.
-He took the motor out, changed the...
yes, pictures are definitely needed. Its either the bob tach plate is bent, or your bob tach recieving plate on the backhoe is bent. or your bob tach pins could be worn down.... maybe? lol. Well definitely post some pictures and we will go from there. If you have access to a welder, this should...
To adjust you'll have to lift the cab. Then you will have to move the sticks around to orient yourself with the whole arrangment a little bit. You will see some steel “blocks” that slide against a rounded piece. The blocks have 2 bolts going into them. You loosen the bolts, then adjust the...
I am not completely familiar with that particular model however it sounds like an okay deal. 1900 hours is probably the highest I would go for something that was a rental and then operated by random people who dont know what they are doing completely which im sure was the case at the non profit...
Problem Solved! I just reversed the flow and BAM, it works. lol. The thing works great! I actually was suprised too, the pins are all tight! For only 3500 bucks, I think this 709 was a steal :-)
Gonna have its first REAL job tommorow. ive got a big footing job to dig in a basement. Im already 9...
Do those stabilizers simply bolt on? just wondering. Ive been looking into getting a set for my s205 but I was under the impression that they have to be welded on?
Well... ive never personally seen this backhoe attachment work. Beforehand I have always borrowed my buddies. I'll try switching the hoses around. The previous owner of this said he used it with a 753. But that wouldnt be reverse quick attach flow or anything right? maybe my machine has reverse...
Well, ive got the operation manual in hand but I dont see any master password listed :( I guess I'll just have to get it to the dealer sometime and have them do it. Its quite a pain though. I will keep my eyes pealed for a master password card that will miraculously fall out of somewhere in the...
and just to make it more clear, if you push ANY control, the boom goes down. and I tried moving the booms “up down” stick around but no matter what location it is in, it always gives this problem.
So I have been digging all day with my s205, the things working great so far. A few little quarks I need to take care of, but overall its going great. The thing that ISNT going great is my 709 Attachment.
I went to go use it today and its all... screwy to say the least. I got it all hooked up...
I havent been around here in a while. Last post was with some questions for my old 743 that still is unsucessfully not REALLY working great. Regardless of that, I just broke down and got a 2005 S205 with gold package from an auction. 1500 hours so not too bad. The machine is in very good...
