Does your book say anything about how the cover comes off? I couldnt see any screws or bolts to hold it on, it kind of looks like its pressed on, but I dont want to pry on anything until i know how it is attached. Thanks for your reply i appreciate your help

1990 743B, 1988hrs. Today went out to the bobcat and hit the starter and it went ziiiing, the starter spins but doesnt engage. I hit the key a couple of times and it caught and started right up. The next time I try to start the Bobcat it did the same thing so i pulled the starter and solenoid...

Ive got a 1990 743B and i recently borke the glass fuel bowl, when I went to the local Bobcat place they suggested to get an after market fuel filter with a spin on filter.... i picked up a Racor 120 series http://www.eangler.com/product/MP80813696.htm please give my your opinions on this fuel...

My 743B bucket and up and down motion is getting kind of sloppy, i am just now starting to see a small amount of lateral movement in the pivot points of the lift arms, at least enough movement that it is of concern; replacing the bushings and pins, is this a tough job can it be accomplished with...

bingo Paul, thats exactly what happened... it was just me being stupid... i must have moved that lever into aux with my leg and never noticed. Sure gave me a worry, had imagined all kinds of things gone wrong

If its the seals on the drive motor, we are talking "hydrostatic motor" removal page 3-10 in the manual...? Is that an o ring or an actual seal...?

the drive motors work fine, just the boom up and down and bucket tilt dont work.... It was working fine, actually worked it hard all day, drove it 500 feet to the shop and the bucket hydraulics quit working. the site glass looks empty and the last time i looked it was midway on the site glass...

really appreciate the help with the manual for the 74x's downloaded perfectly, im wondering how to view the archives or a list of available down loads from that site? is there a way to search that site for other manuals, ie. car manuals or other types of tractors, such as new holland TC30 shop...
