    331 travel speed

I bought the machine used and the dealership had it in on a trade and didn't know much of the history. Until now everything seemed to work normal and I never tried running the tracks at different speeds other then when I was first looking at it to check everything out. If I remember right they...

    331 travel speed

I was using my 331 for the fist time in 3 weeks yesterday and noticed that the fast speed wasn't what it should be. I figured it just needed more time to warm up. When I was cleaning my tracks out at the end of the day I noticed one track was changing speeds no problem when the button was...

    opinion poll

Hey, thanks Scott for posting that. It's not that I don't like Bobcat's but I' haven't been wowed. Anyways I think I have them down to 18 or 19 depending on how you look at it. I also found a seeder attachment for my ss and told them to sharpen thier pencils. I'm going back with a buddy for a...

    opinion poll

I went and checked out the 2001 Bobcat 331E with 1500 hours today. It was in decent shape but you could tell whoever owned it never spent much time on it other then maybe to grease it. There were some minor dings, the boom light was missing and so was the one on the front at the bottom, and some...

I'm toying with the idea of buying a mini and I was just curious how you guys would rate the different brands. I'm looking around the 10k lbs or 11-12 ft dig depth. I've found JCB to be under powered and I really don't care about bobcat. Just curious what the experts think. Thanks for your input

    maybe a dumb question

It depends on how much you're building up the soil. If it's a few inches you can probably get by. Otherwise you should till it up.

    matching up equipment

I'm glad you posted about those brackets. The owner had the arms locked back by welding trailer hitch balls. I was wondering how important they were. I hesitate welding brackets on to my machine because it still looks pretty nice; but if it needs to be done. Have many of you guys used these...

    matching up equipment

I think the unit's about 11 yrs old and was bought to dig the footings for his foundation and has been only used a handful of times since. It's also been kept inside so it's in pretty decent shape. I think I can probably get it for $2500.00.

    matching up equipment

To start things off,I have a line on a bobcat brand backhoe attachment. It's been at 6 months since I checked it out so I can't remember the # on it. If it helps it has stabilisers. Before I go look at it again does anybody know why I couldn't run it on my NH ls 170? If there is no problem what...

Underground lines, pipes, cables, etc.--what to watch out for??

Soil probes are cheap about $20 plus. There are some that are fiberglass and the few I've used I didn't like. As for a particular kind I don't think it matters. As cheap as they are if you didn't like the one you bought you could always replace it. Marc

Forgot to mention the shaft of the probe is only about 1/4 in. rod.
