5575 Wont shut off

Long story, so here's the short part. Suspected fuel shutoff solenoid, but the old one may be good. Acting like you are starting the machine (with the injection pump lever pushed back), the shut off solenoid pulls in and holds in. Turn the key off, and the solenoid doesn't move. It releases, but doesn't pull back out. You can easily pull it out by hand at this time. Bench testing with +12V on blue/orange and ground on black. Add the +12 on the white for the starter signal, and the solenoid pulls in, and stays held in. Remove the ground, or +12V and the solenoid releases. My question is,,, what pulls the solenoid back out to shut off the fuel delivery? Am I possibly missing a spring on the Injection Pump? Sort of at a loss here.. Not new to diesels, and this is the first problem besides hydraulic lines we've had with the machine.

Who knew, there was supposed to be a spring on the shutoff solenoid. Received it, and the snap ring. Installed everything on the solenoid, and the result is.. Now I can start and shut off in Service mode. As soon as I put it in Run, the thing dies with an ERR 02. Getting somewhere.

Glad it's at least running, i wonder why the spring was missing on the one that was already fitted....
Could the error be a seat bar or seat belt sensor?

I have a feeling that when I replaced the solenoid the first time, I just assumed it would fit right in and work. Never even thought of a missing spring. GOOD NEWS!! Turned out to be the seat interlock relay. $55 later, it starts, shuts off, and works like it should. I got a new seat as well, since mine was rusting to pieces. Was concerned about the new seat only having one switch, but the Deere parts guy found a tech bulletin that said one is sufficient. The only things left are to bolt the new seat in and reinstall the side panels.

They sure know how to charge for a relay, but it fixed the problem, so it's worth it.
