Hey guys I'm new to the skid steers and just purchased a 2012 T190. I have about 3000 hours on the machine. Changed all fluids and filters. I'm getting a 10-17 code and my hydraulics when using the right pilot control makes a whining noise.. The power seems to be there just making a noise. I'm not sure if the 2 are related or not. The code is in regards to the Charge filter not connected. Its def connected and the sensor has been replaced.. What else can I look for? I dont see anything out of the ordinary. Help

Don't waste your breathe. I think most of the time the new members are only interested in helping themselves, only. Try not to take it personal. Just keep trying to help those that you can.

Its been 5 days in which part was a weekend and the dealer is not open. 5th. The T190 is sitting at the dealer waiting to be serviced. Our dealer is busy I cant just drop off and expect it to be taken care of within the hour. So nothing to update. Machine is sitting at the dealer waiting to be serviced and pressures confirmed. By all means I'll log on when I know something more.Till then I have not free time to be on the computer so I'll be logging off now to go to WORK.

As you said the sensor has been replaced and connected, it could be that the wire is broken somewhere between the sensor and computer.
I wonder what would happen if you short out the pins on the sensor connector to see if the code changes. If it changes, i would think the wiring is good and the sender is the issue.
As it's at the dealer, hopefully they will get it sorted out.
You could have checked charge pressure by replacing the sensor with a manual gauge to see what it read.

You'd have to know what type of circuit you are shorting out. If you are doing that on a circuit that feeds back to the computer, you could sort it out & need a new computer on top of the original issue. Now, if the circuit is a simpler circuit, like feeding gauges, then try out what you want to try out. But be careful, it might prove to be stupid expensive!! Be careful.

feelining kinda bad about this. should of walked you thru the charge pressure check. its stupid simple . granted tools aint cheap. but just the same rest assured puttining in dealers hands was right decision. just not used to guys who can have extended down time.

Don't sweat it. We all lead busy lives. I'm sure that he gets it. It an be frustrating when something breaks & it is uncertain how much it will cost. I'm getting more curious with every passing day as to what happened.

Ok update. I contacted the Service manager to find out whats going on.. I heard from them on Friday and said they were running the machine to try and get the code to come back up to no avail.. Drove it around again on Monday still no codes coming up.. They said it is acting like a faulty wire / plug somewhere but said its not causing any problems so did not want to put more hours into it unless I said to do so.. Pressure all checks out and I'm being told that the hydraulics on the older T190's do become loud with hours on the pumps. But theres really nothing they can do about it and they are working as they should. So I guess i'm going to just start pulling all the plugs apart cleaning with lectra clean and throwing some dielectric grease in all of the connectors and be done with it. As far as the loud hydraulics I guess I just have to deal with them till I decide to trade up to the next bigger machine :-) Not sure what else I could do but would like to change the hydraulic fluid and oils again before winter now that I have some good stuff mixed into the remaining of the old.

awesome low charge is indicated not actual. good news. yea no harm will come to unit. now she might beep get angry and shut down on you . but this is a pretty easy fix. there are about five sensors on this circut. any one of them could affect the next. they work off 8 volt supply.. one little rub spot to ground. so A vissually inspect harness closely. B while shes runnining peform (no **** wiggle test) tech term. = push pull wiggle harness every where you can reach . if she beeps look closer.

I could be wrong, but s 10-17 code is a hydraulic filter plugged code. A pressure differential code. Not a charge pressure issue. Not a problem, the SWITCH is a grounded by the mounting base. And a single wire going to the sensor. NC sensor??
