As stated in the subject, I have a 318d that will throw a code and lock the boom/bucket hydraulics immediately after starting. It has been sitting for a two months now because I can't figure this thing out. The code comes back to "Hydraulic Valve Power 1 Out of Range High". I have followed the diagnostic procedures in the service manual, which primarily deals with checking the harness for shorts/corrosion, etc. I found some wires that had been chewed by field mice, which is a big problem in our area. I repaired the wires and expected the problem to be fixed but no such luck. I have completed every step in the diagnostic procedures a number of times, which end with "End of Checks". I'm more or less at a loss as to what to do next. I'm leaning toward the problem being one or all of the solenoids but I hate to go throwing $180.00 parts at it. Figured i'd see if anyone else has had a similar problem...
