Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum, but I wanted to ask this question. My boyfriend is wanting to buy a JD 24 Skid Loader. The description says: 37 horse JD Skid loader, spent a lot of time and money on this skid loader, Runs good, Hydraulics work good, Chain fell off left side so it doesn't move forward or backwards. I am done with it on my Acreage need it gone soon as possible. Also I do have teeth for bucket. The seller is asking for $1500. How hard is it to repair this, and will it cost a lot of money? Before we start seriously consider purchasing it, I thought I would ask for opinions. Here is a link to the ad: http://cedarrapids.craigslist.org/grd/5169206065.html

If he is mechanically inclined, hopefully it would be fairly easy. The only issue is, if any damage was done inside to the sprockets. Generally they are really strong, but there is always a possibility....
The price seems pretty good to me.

Easy machine to work on and same as JD170
Thanks for your input. He purchased it and it's sitting in one of my driveways. He also says it needs a starter solenoid. Soooo...its just sitting there. Hopefully he does something with it soon!!
