I recently purchased an old Melroe skidsteer that I left at my sons house for his use. Today he called me to say the machine appeared to overheat and shut off. He could not restart it until it cooled off. I told him to check the coolant level but I have no clue where to check it without being there. Can anyone tell me where the radiator cap is so I might save myself a trip later. Thanks

If it is old it may be air cooled and has a over-temp switch on the cylinder head which shuts it off and resets when cool. Have him clean around the engine and the cooling fins if this is the case. The model number is needed here before any real help can be given as there were a lot of variations in the old machines.

Thanks Jerry I'll give it a look.
