Quick-tach parts

After experiencing the convenience of picking up or releasing attachments with the universal system, I plan to build one for my wheel tractor with a FEL. The tractor is small (Ford 1210), and the bucket arms are only 36" OC. I won't have any difficulty fabricating the pick-up plates and the loader arm brackets, but it would be handy if I could buy the two spring-loaded locking pins and the levers instead of fabricating them. We don't have any machinery junk yards around here, and I shudder to think of the price of buying new parts from the Bobcat dealer. Are there any after-market fabricators who would sell such parts, or any readers who have parts from a dead machine?

I replaced both pins /springs pivot bolts/ on my new holland. you could use parts from any make. You may be stuck buying from that manufacturer.I dont think my replacement parts were to expensive. The handle is what will probably be pricey.
I would think used would most likley be worn out. Unless the machine was in a fire. then there going to want to sell the whole unit.
There aftermarket on ebay.I see you want to make your own.I unerstand that.If you can make your own handles the other parts are reasonable in price.

Highiight and click the lx865 skid steer loader in the left column. Then click figure listing that comes up under it. Then click zoom under the diagram. this helps blind people like me.
Go down the column on the left to find the quick tach. theres two choices ,square or round tube. Either will help you for prices. Dont choose the old style. The prices are in the column on the right. Mike

Thanks for the lead, Mike. I'll check it out. I found exactly what I need for a Bobcat on ebay, but their 'buy it now' price is $285. At that rate, I'm better off buying the whole unit

If you ge to the[ Salvage Forum] the thread that says. [ Helpful Links] Has some salvage yards.Its the first post on that Forum. I have done business with one named . www.wingers.com. There in the north east. Mike

The other option would be to go to a company like ATI Corporation www.preseeder.com and see if they have a ready made unit listed for your F.E.L.
The ones for the Kubota loaders are about $700 They make many different model.
