Curious. What don't you like about Deere skid-steers? j
You didn't just ask that question!
The thing you should have said what DO you like about them :)
I sure know Ron hates Deere with a vengeance but i too am not sure exactly why.
I personally have never used a JD machine so i really can't say anything bad about them.
With that said, he LOVED Bobcat then jumped the fence to go and buy a CAT...

I never like the Deere's, only when they were still the same as New Holland, like the older 4475 and up, those were nice machines, now they have very short (headroom) cabs and their foot pedals are just so small and not to mention that rotten front roll up door. I still think Cat is one of the better ones out there, Deere might be just as good, but they are a different animal all together.

Oh. OK. I am very new to loaders, and have primarily run a JD 240. I don't see anything in particular wrong w/ it, but then if you start driving a Ford p/u and have good luck, you like Fords. Such is human nature. My neighbor's Mustang seemed pretty similar, but that is hard for a new person to judge, esp after only a few hrs w/ his butt in the seat. Thanks for clarifying. It sort of sounds like the Ford/Chevy, "which caliber deer rifle is best" thing to me, but I will keep reading. j
