I recently went to start my 3510, it cranked over hard like fuel leaked into the cylinder. I have a battery disconnect on it so my battery stays fresh when not in use. It melted the ground terminal plastic on disconnect. Now I have no spark when cranking, I have changed every part on the DIS system. Its an 89 model with no distributor. Don't know if anyone has experience with this. I have checked all electrical from manual and it all reads right on the meter. Not sure if I'm missing something that will not allow it to have spark. it's a VSG 411 Ford Motor. I have replaced crank sensor, coil, and ESD on it.

I'd start by checking that you have power to your ignition system, it could be as simple as a blown fuse?

I have followed all the specs in manual and get 12 volts to the system, could having a dirty crankshaft hinder the signal to the ESC module? I noticed I have a rear main seal leak and could have crud on the flywheel that the sensor reads.

My understanding of systems like this is, that the sensors are haul effect, so oil being slung onto them will not make them stop working, the switching is done electronically.
Being all electronically controlled, you have so many different systems to get it going. It could be the computer or a crank or cam angle sensor too.

I have checked out every system to the manual, the only thing I can check out is ESC without a scope. I'm thinking the computer is bad. Ford did come out with a conversion system for the engine, its about $1200 dollars to convert over. I bought two other ESC's and they didn't work. So I have to double check wires and make sure I don't have a short somewhere killing the ESC.

The computer is the only thing i could think of too.... Even a short shouldn't blow the computer up, i'd like to think it would have some sort of protection, but you never do know.
