Hi, new member thanks for ad. The bucket on my 675b john deere ( same as L555 new holland im told) will not stay in place. Constantly tilting down unless you hold your foot on pedal to keep it back. Im guessing its something in control valve since with lift on ground the bucket will continue to tilt lifting front end off the ground. Anyones opinion on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Dan

Welcome to the Forum!! Since it is likely something a little more than a seal problem, I am moving your post to the John Deere section, as there will likely be some one there that can help. Cheers - SR

Have you checked the linkage/foot pedals to see if something is hanging/binding up? I had to take apart the pedals on my 318D and polish the pin/bore for the bellcranks that go through the foot pedal pivots. It helped without taking apart the valve.

Looked linkage over and looked fine. Spool has same amount of movement both directions. Its neutral position seems to be inline with lift spool side.

Ok, i have inspected linkage and all seems free. I took apart spoll valve cleaned it and all look good. Didnt see anything looking worn. Put all back together and bucket still constantly dumps. Its not bleading off it is under pressurewill lift steer off ground. Any ideas? Im leaning to a spool valve but didnt find any issues. It seems to have been replaced before. Thanks in advance

If you have have internal bypass, it shouldn't power down the bucket unless you have a spool sticking in the valve which could be.

I had the spool valve out. Inspected it for wear and it looked good. The centering spring? On end of spool valve seemed a little stiff. I cleaned and worked it till moved more freely reinstalked and still constantly dumps .maybe a little slower. You can apply foot lever oposite dirrection and hold it tilted up
