    Mitsubishi 4G32 Timing

That engine has a rubber bonded type damper on it, correct? If so, it's likely the outer ring spun on the inner hub.

    Clarification on Bob-tach pins

Thats a good idea too. I cut a groove through the bushings, then used a small chisel next to the groove and folded the bushing in on itself. Did this a few times around the diameter of it, and pulled them right out with my fingers. At least something went right for me today!

    Clarification on Bob-tach pins

Being an auto tech for the last 20+ years, I have spent alot of money on alot of tools that some guys dont have! Once I get the grease all cleaned out, if I can find some type of lip or edge on the inside, I may even try an internal jaw puller with a bridge to see if I can just pull it out...

    Clarification on Bob-tach pins

Thanks for the info Tazza. From what I can see of it, the outside looks to be ok, the bushing is quite thin on one side, but does not appear to have gone through it. I have real long carbide burrs for my die grinder, so my plan of attack is to cut a groove in it, and then hit it with the air...

    Clarification on Bob-tach pins

Im in the process of repairing the pins and bushings on the 40 series Bob-tach on my 642b. With it off the machine, I can still see part of what was once the round bushing in the Bob-tach. My question is, is that bushing part of the welded "cap" that the grease zerk threads into, or is it a...

742b, what is plug in back for?

Looks like an aftermarket coolant heater/pump to me. They are supposed to heat the coolant and pump it through the cooling system to help heat it up faster in cold weather. My 642B had one of the sitck on heater "pads" stuck to the oil pan when I got it. Never used it.

    What do you own

I have a Bobcat 642B with Tracks plus OTT tracks. I have a bucket with a grapple in it, and a 7'6" Western snowplow I modified to fit. I mainly use it in the woods for light logging, clearing trails and digging the occasional hole. It does some snow removal too. My Dad has a New Holland T2310...

    Flotation

I run a set of tracks plus over the tire tracks on my 642b, and really like them. Floatation is great, as is traction. Very happy with them.

    Remote start switch

I don't know. I started it, raised the cab and it immediately shut down. Did that 3 times. That's when I posted my question. Went back out and flipped the worn blocks, then tried it again and it stayed running..I just went with it and made the adjustments!

    Remote start switch

I need to adjust the steering linkage on my 642b as it creeps a bit, and I do not have the required remote start switch. Is there a way I can make my own, or bypass it so I can get this creeping issue corrected?

    Over the tire tracks

I have a set of TracksPlus on my 642b and love them. Traction and flotation are excellent. Wear has been good. I did find that wet packy snow will get inside, and if you stop moving, it will freeze and you have to chip it out so it doesn't bind. Powder snow, sand or mud , it goes places I would...

Almost impossible to start deutz in bobcat

Something of a dumb question, but what do you have in it for fuel and how old is it? I have had a truck in the shop, and have heard of some others having issues recently with the ultra low sulfur diesel, seems its real prone to algae if it's left sitting. Obviously, this is with road fuel...

    Adding Aux. Hyd. to 642b

Just to update this, I finally finished up the auxillary hydraulics yesterday. The spool stayed together and moved nice and easy from the first try. Lucky I guess! Now that I have them, I will likely be getting or building a brush grapple. Other than that and a log splitter, that's probably all...

    Adding Aux. Hyd. to 642b

I have a good friend who owns a hydraulic repair shop. He doesn't do hoses anymore, but is getting some made up for me and doing the hard pipe. I'll keep hosing the spool down until I get the linkage done. Hope it doesn't blow apart on me!
