What does everyone use? I was thinking of getting a 12000 lb and mounting to pull logs into the bucket. Any other suggestions or does anyone know of something that works better?

Why do you need to pull logs into the bucket and not simply drive to the log? You can get a graple bucket to hold it into the bucket so it won't fall out.

Im not sure what you are intending to do with the logs. Are you cutting for firewood? Or skidding logs for resale? I cut a lot of firewood here on my property. My woods consists of 90% oak, which is heavy, especially wet. Almost all trees I cut down I'm able to chain the tree where I cut it at the trunk. Drive my bucket under the base of the cut tree and chain it inside the bucket and curl it up a bit to keep it from dragging on the ground. From there I'm able to drag the entire tree just about anywhere I want to go. My machine is a 753 which isnt a big machine by todays standards. But even my old 642 amazed me at how it was able to drag full size oaks.
