Are Bobcat engine oil filters better ?

I don't think so , they are made by another filter manufacturer for them , they will try and tell you that their filter is specially designed for the Bobcat it is put on , I don't believe that , I would just leave it at that their filter is of quailty as good as major manufactures

If its under warranty, stick with their filters, don't tempt fate.
The one thing i can give Bobcat, their filter prices are very good. They sell so many of them, they can make them cheaper. The best price i could get aftermarket filters was about a dollar different.

Read the fine print in your warranty documents. I also recommend speaking with the service manager at your dealership and get his response.. If they are anything like automotive dealerships, they vary.. some are okay with you doing your own maintenance using alternate brands while others like to blame faults on you for doing your own service.. Regardless of brand you use, keep all documents and receipts. I recommend tearing the bar code from filter carton and attaching it to your receipts and file in a safe place. In theory, they would have to prove the non oem ( after market ) part was the culprit causing damage to machinery ... If in doubt and local dealership is not close by, purchase enough filters to cover length of warranty therefore saving mileage costs , not to include your time.. after warranty expires use filter of your choice.... I use wix brand filters purchased at my local parts store.. mind you, my skid steer is not under warranty.. Bottom line, read fine print... Regards
