T-REX ATTACHMENT (CLUGSTON MANUFACTURING, INC.) Much more versatile than a bucket, thumb or grapple. the T-Rex will remove trees, shrubs and stumps, and then load the truck or chipper. Or use it to demolish a structure or break up a sidewalk. It will prune trees and place trees for planting. http://www.trexgonewild.com/images/main_image.jpg http://trexgonewild.com/images/rex_points.jpg http://trexgonewild.com/images/about2.jpg http://trexgonewild.com/images/about1.jpg VIDEOS: http://www.trexgonewild.com/pv.htm Email us at: [email protected] for more information ______________________________________________________________________________ T-REX Features T-Rex performs the functions of a small back-hoe, battering ram, tree shear, cherry picker and grader. T-Rex is adaptable to skid-steers, front-end loaders and telescopic booms. T-Rex's horns are pintle hooks that can move trailers, life materials and serve many other uses. T-Rex can supply hydraulic power for other attachments. You can put other hydraulic attachments into the mouth. Removable blades for mouth of T-Rex are available. A flow control valve controls the strength of T-Rex jaws. Grip objects gently or with enough brute force to shear a 4" diameter oak tree. '

I finally saw this post and took a look at this attachment. Honestly, I laughed my balls off. It looks very gimmicky and I doubt it will effectively live up to its claims. Maybe I am insane. Backhoe? Grader? Battering ram? Tree shear? Cherry picker? You gotta be kidding me, I am insulted.

I checked it out too. It may well do what they say, but I think I'd ditch the funky paint job and the whole "T-Rex" thing. Not too many guys I know of that would have something that gaudy on their machine. Customers would think it was some kind of weird joke if I showed up with that thing on the trailer.

It has some good crushing force, and nips things off easily. I would not mind having one for site clearing. Some of the things it does are covered by my other weird tools. I have seen videos of the tool crumpling a 55 gal drum into the size of a basketball. It would be cool for demolition, and kind of make the skidsteer into an excavator with thumb. It looks like he built it originally to feed his huge chipper, and the other ideas evolved with the tool.
The tool was a dark color when FFC had it. The inventor is just promoting its look by going dinosaur green. He said kids recognize it easily and gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.
I have spoken with Clugston, and he struck me as a very genuine guy, who makes his living with his skidsteer. He gave me some good ideas to apply at work.

Hey, that's actually pretty cool. I don't think I will ever find a use for it, but heck it's cool. But the lime green color has got to go. :)

Like any other "specialty" tool, it looks to me like it might be very handy for moving "stuff", if you have a regular need to do so. The lime green? No problem w/ a little "volume" in a color! Hell, you could spray paint it in no time anyway. He may have a pretty handy tool there.

That looks like a useful attachment for demolition work and tree work. It would have liked to see a demo video of it breaking up a sidewalk, though. I would have to custom order one in black, though
