I have posted before but cannot find previous post. We bought a T870 in 2014 for straw bale handling, regrettably this issue is now coming to court as we returned this machine as being not of marketable quality. The glass door kept breaking which made it difficult to comply with health and safety regulations. Both track motors were replaced. We have since found out that this was a manufacturing fault. It took two months to rectify this problem, even though we later found out that the track motors were actually made in Scotland. We bought the machine on finance (BNP PARIBAS) but later found that there was a clause in the small print signing away our rights. The case is about to go to court I would appreciate any knowledge of similar problems, especially in the US as there would not be many so0ld in this country. Jack Caley

Thank you for that information. To bring this thread up to date it looks regrettably that we are going to have to go court over this affair. The T870 was obviously a machine of non marketable quality as it was liable to breakages and not reliable enough to provide the service we required of it. The Bobcat franchise in the UK obviously colluded with DNP PARIBAS finance company in marketing this machine and inserted small print clauses in the finance agreement which negated our protection under the Consumer Protection act in this country. Bobcat refused to warranty the defects. We face a very difficult and costly situation. I am very surprised at the behaviour of a long established company. I would have thought they would have protected their reputation rather better. Jack Caley

It's a shame they are doing this to you, the big guys try and push the little ones around. I hope your day in court turns out in your favour. I'd have expected better from your dealer.
I am under the impression that each store is privately owned, I just don't know how the warranty works, if the dealer has to arrange for their own warranty company to cover it or if the manufacturer handles them. I'd like to think that the manufacturer would stand behind their gear and do all they could to help if they indeed are responsible.
