Hi all...I am new to the site. I just bought a 2005 T300 Track Steer, standard flow, manual controls, with 3100 hours. I got a really good deal on it due to the fact the bucket wont lift or tilt. When I do move the foot pedals it will barely start to move the bucket lift them stop. It drives around and turns just fine. Was told a hydraulic pump was bad. Fluid levels are all good. I have not lifted the cab yet to see if there is anything obvious. The unit has been sitting for a year but it did start right up with a jump. There are so many different pumps and parts in the T300 to choose from i'd like a place to start. Any ideas? Greg

When talking to the dealer, quote your serial number, that will tell them the pump you need.
Also try loader parts source, they will need your serial number too. See what the prices are and go from there.
You could even take the machine to the dealer and get them to do a flow test, then you know 100% that the pump is at fault, then go from there.

The cheapest & quickest test is to buy a hydraulic gauge & install it on one of the easy to get to lift cylinder hoses. Be sure to use a plug or cap to seal the system (& avoid a hydraulic shower at the same time), then try to lift the bucket up while observing the gauge. If it builds good pressure (1,000 to 3,000) psi, I would say that the pump is good & the valve is the issue. How well do the foot pedal travel? Do they move easily? or are they very stiff to operate? Do they travel enough to feel not bound up? Or do they barely move, due to bind up, rust or caked up dirt?? Going to the dealership is another great idea, but I'd want to see them test it out. Just my tendency to see what they are doing & talking about.
