A friend has to remove the head on his 2004 T190. Can the head be removed without taking the engine out? Also, are head gaskets or cracked cylinder heads common on the T190? thanks

Head can be removed without taking engine out. Kubota are quite good engines and this is not a common problem. A problem occurs if the engine has been overheated badly or overheated several times. I've seen 2 times a badly cracked heads. Most of the time passes only by head gasket replasement and grinding the head.
