I my new to me 540 had several issues, one was the engine didn't run so
i couldn't diagnose more. Well, I got the engine running after a fashion, but the steering is bad. When I push the levers forward the machine moves, but it bucks like a bronco so hard I have to let go of the levers. After watching hours of videos, I think the problem is in the "pintle arms" and related parts being loose/worn, unless I'm missing something. My physical condition dictates that I have more of a plan of action than "Bubba, hand me that hammer and wrench". Any of you guys have some thoughts? BTW all the bucket and lift arms work good.
