I need to buy a new set of drive motors for my 642 and was hoping to replace the tapered shafts with splined shaft motors but can't quite justify the cost of replacing the two sprockets. Does anyone happen to have a couple of old drive motor sprockets laying around they don't need?

No way to repair the old shafts? or are they that badly worn? I assum bobcat don't have them available any more? You could always ask loader parts source if they have any available?

try this http://www.ebay.com/itm/BOBCAT-642-SKIDLOADER-HYDRAULIC-DRIVE-MOTOR-/130640320149?_trksid=p3286.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6080880212543648623
I ended up buying two new tappered shaft motors (char-lynn 109-1052-006) from Steve Smith at Metro Fluid Power (www.char-lynn.net) for $750/motor. It was a fair price and Steve was easy to work with.
Regarding the ebay link, the seller casekid I believe is with Hess Brothers. I've tried for weeks to contact them by phone and email and have had no luck. I would be very reluctant to bid on anything he selling at this point.
