I have a sb200 snow blower that worked great last year but now I am having problems. The snow blower will not spin in reverse and the chute will only turn in one direction. I spent 100.00 dollars on a repair manual and there is nothing there to help. My question is that I believe the machine makes the fluid flow in reverse to turn the auger backwards and the chute the opposite way. What in the macnine does that, or is it in the Module they put out in the elements. Any help would be really appreciated

I dont think the blower will run in reverse in the first place. As to your chute, probably a bad coil on the control vavle for that function.

Not dobuting you, but last year when the auger clogged with wet snow you would revesre the rotation to clear the clog. I ohm tested all the coils and all test same resistance. I am going to look at it today. Anything else you can think of let me know please, this is not my specialty. I am a heavy truck mechanic, and winter time I have a fleet of 125 truck with plows and salter large and small

As for rotating the chute, there are two coils on the stem, one for each direction, flip them around and see if your problem flip flops. Also look at the cord. They are very touch and sometimes wouldn't even work when repaired. No answer on auger reversing as I never knew they would. The cord could solve both problems.

I'm leaning towards the stems being the issue too. If they go bad, you will only get fluid to flow in one direction.

Figured it out yesterday. I was having someone look when i was operating the machine, and he noticed the only thing that didn't try to move was the blower. Shut the machine off and found a quarter inch bolt stuck in the blower wheel. Thank for all the help. Any snow plow question feel free to e-mail me for help, it's the least I can do. [email protected] (snowplow) in the subject line Thanks again
