S300 drive problem

I have a s300 joystick machine with 2900hrs that tracks pretty good in forward but it will really lag on left side when I go in reverse. Any ideas? Dealer says that it's pump wear.

I would first start with the basics check/drain the gear oil from each drive motor check for metals the oil comes out black and sometimes sells really burnt look for silver in the oil 80-90W

If you find metal replace the drive motor or get it rebuilt

If both drive motors check out good I would then perform a hydraulic test on the motor to see if its bypassing internally
