Hey Guys. I got this used S250 with Kubota 3-4 months ago. It has been a great machine, basically with no problems. Fires right up and has great lift cap. with my new foam filled tires. It has bogged down and almost stalled a few times and I thought it might be the fuel filter. A little squeaky at first start up sometimes but I figured it was the alt. belt and a little soap and belt dressing helped. It was due for it's 250 hr service so I had a certified bobcat mechanic come out and do it and give it the once over. He plugged it into the computer and came up with a few codes. The speed sensor for the engine and the tilt actuator were the main ones. I have had to restart it once for the tilt function not engaging. Not sure what the speed sensor does. Upon servicing he found it had a inline fuel filter where the squeeze bulb should have been. He didn't have the bulb but put in a new filter. Had some trouble getting the fuel up to the motor and started again but finally did by sucking it through the hoses. After I cranked on it for a while and finally it started it was squealing super loud and he said the alternator pulley was super hot and both that and belt needed replaced. Also recommended a block heater for our super cold winters. Here are my questions: What are the costs for the parts? I was quoted $600-$700 for tilt actuator, $200 range on alternator, I think around $100 on speed sensor. No #'s on block heater, belt, squeeze bulb yet. Are there any aftermarket parts I could save money on? How much labor is involved in these parts replacements? Could my alternator just have been hot from cranking so much? I want to do everything needed so I don't break down but want to make sure all this sounded in line/reasonable as to not fix something that doesn't need it. Thanks for all of your input!

Labor is the big killer, you will be paying 80-120/hour for them to do the job.
For parts costs, you can call the dealer and ask.
The alternator being hot could be the belt slipping a little, or it could be a bad bearing making the pulley hot. Take the belt off and spin it to know if the bearings are good or not.
