Hello, I need some help trying to diagnose a small hydraulic leak on my 2002 S250. serial #520711001 & Above. The machine has foot or hand controls and 2900 hours. I'm the new owner of this machine and by looking at the bowels of this machine Im guessing this leak has been happening for YEARS. I power washed and cleaned up under the cab the best i could and then let it dry out. I believe the leak is coming from the hydraulic control valve (advanced hand control system). I say this be cause because when checking it out I located two green plastic caps that sit vertical on what I would think is the back side of the valve as it sits in the machine. This is above the right drive motor as you sit in the cab. The diagrams I've looked at lead me to this particular valve because of the two plastic caps. I dont know the purpose of the caps as they dont look like they protect anything?? Anyways.......I found oil leaking from the green cap area and both had oil in them when I slid them off. Anyone know if this is a common leak area or what i may be in for? I've been told that the valve may possibly have to be respooled????? After looking at the diagram of the valve I understand there are a lot of variables to what could be causing this leak. I know for a fact its not leaking from the top or the bottom. I also think it leaks whether the machine is running or not. Thanks in advance for the help
