S250 float not working

Hey all I have a S250 and the bucket float doesnt seem to be working and I am not sure where to start looking. I bought this machine used a few years ago and it has never worked. From my understanding when you push your left pedal with your toe all the way it should lock the pedal, and the bucket will float. Well my pedal doesnt lock down, and when you hold it down you can hear the pump in the bobcat still trying to lower the lift arms. Like you dead head the system. Does anyone know where I should start looking to fix it? Thanks for the help!

Sounds like you have something blocking travel of the pedal or spool in the control block, if you push your toe all the way down, it should lock down and float. It sounds like you are only getting as far as pushing the arms down, so it is dead heading the cylinders, you need tha tlittle extra movement for it to stop and float.
