S175 lift and tilt valve problem

Hi I have a big problem with my S175(hand controls) the lift and tilt light wont go out when you push the button to operate machine ,the seat bar light goes off O.K and so does the brake light.So I guess the seat bar switch is O.K My bobcat dealer has tested the solenoid to the hydraulics and thats O.K but he is now struggling as there is no fault code coming up.Unfortunatley the machine is just out of guarantee so I am paying for his time... I'de be glad of any suggestions .regards Tom

Does it have a sensor for the door? That will lock out the functions when door is open or the sensor thinks it is, at least. If no door, maybe the wiring is there and shorted by moisture?

Yeah it has a door and have tried disconnecting the switch but to no avail it could be some damp wiring but I guess that could be pretty elusive to fix? Tom

How many wires go int o this switch you disconnected? Most of Bobcats switches/senders like that are magnetic and have three wires. Simply disconnecting it will not work. Just a possibility if it is this style of switch.

I've checked the switch and its just 2 wires ,it has also started giving an error code that the fuel solenoid cicuit is open and consequently won't now even start so the dealer is now going to try a new controller (its his best guess!) I hope he s right as this machine is needed daily on the farm ,at the moment I'me having to borrow from neighbours.I'll let you know what happens. Tom

Dealer took off the solenoid that operates the lift and tilt ,put it back on and suddenly everything works ,no parts fitted but a costly and annoying breakdown with the exact reason still not known!

I'd feel safe to say that didn't fix the problem , the problem just stop happening for a while

God forbid you would have both actuators go out at the same time but it happens. Then a computer update by the dealer is needed if your old actuators dont have a yellow sticker on them.
