getting it delivered soon but only know engine froze from sitting. industrial 4 cylinder ( ford I think)- if I absolutly can't get it to break free what would be best option.. pull and rebuild? I know I could repower Honda or Kohler but perfer to stay with water cooled inline 4.. anybody ever put in differant make/model 4 cylinder ? - Will give the original best effort first outside rebuilding.

The reference page over at Jensales indicates that the only Hydra-Mac with a Ford mill was the model 10.
If I recall, it's the same type used in some Bobcats, and parts for the Fiesta will work on them. You can get them at Rockauto for way less than equipment places.
If it won't break free with the acetone/ATF soak down the plug holes and rocking the front pulley with a breaker bar, pull the engine, take the head off, then the oil pan, pull the crank. If the bearings are good there, turn it back over and use a piece of hardwood and a mallet to break the rings loose by driving the pistons down. If you're lucky, the cylinders can be cleaned up with a hone and not need punched out to the next oversize.
