RE: friction applications

I work for Tribco, a Cleveland manufacturer of 100% Kevlar fibered composite friction material for brakes, transmissions, clutches. We get requests for a 6" part for the Bobcat skid steer. With the hydrostatic transmissions on the excavators, are there any friction applications on the excavators? Appreciate any info that you can offer.

The wet disk clutches for the hydraulic brake in the drive motors. It's your common stack of friction and steel brakes. I wouldn't see it as much of a market since excavator don't really put many miles on the undercarriage and they are only used as a park brake. At least in my experience, nothing like that is used in the house swing assembly.

You could make the friction shoes for the little Case 1816 centrifugal clutches. I don't know if they cross-reference to clutch pieces that are currently available, but I do know that Case doesn't have any more clutch assemblies, and they ran out of the rebuild kits, which contained just the shoe assemblies, a number of years ago.

the slipper plates. that all variable swash set ups ride in? but really I would love to lose the ratty carpet bunk rails that my boat rides on.
