I have a 2006 S150 i purchased. I cannot get any of the BICS light to go on. Traction over ride works and i can move the machine but i cannot get any other lights to turn on. I tried to jump out the seat bar switch by juming from the outside power pin to the middle pin but still did not get any light to turn on. Checked all fuses and they were all good. Any help is greatly appreciated

Check all of the fuses and relays for corrosion/bad connection. May or may not be the problem, but a good place to start.

So what do you mean by "BICS" lights? Are you referring to the four lights on the left hand side of the cab? I believe the lap bar switch is actually a Hall effect switch which is activated by a magnet that moves into place as the lap bar is lowered. Did everything work OK at one time, then stopped? Give us as good a description as you can of the control panels and what isn't working. There are several versions of control panels out there. :) ---Bobbie G.

All fuses were good. I dont know what relay would be for the BICS system. Are there relays outside of the fuse pannel?

Yes i am referring to the four lights on the left side of the cab. I have the keyless system. When i bought the machine it had a bad motor but the seller told me everything else worked so not sure when it stopped working. The control panel on the left has four lights "press to operate loader", "Seat bar", "lift and tilt valve", and traction. On the bottom of the panel is "traction lock override" button. On the top left is the engine is an analog temp gauge the middle is a digital machine hr meter and the right is an analog fuel gauge. I cannot get any of the lights to come on and cannot get the bucket to move. If i press the "traction lock override" button the traction light comes on and i can move the machine but the bucket still will not work.

So, the light doesn't come on when you lower the seat bar?
It could be a bad sensor or broken locator for the magnet.
Remove the sensor, plug it into the harness and use the magnet and rotate it, see if the light comes on. If so, the issue is the locating pin not moving the magnet to make the sensor turn on.

Nice description of the lights and panels. As I understand it, the lap bar sensor must send an "I'm down" signal to the computer before the computer will unlock the traction and lift/tilt solenoids. In your case, the lap bar sensor signal isn't getting to the computer for some reason. As Tazza suggested, try removing the lap bar sensor (mine's on the left of the cab at the pivot point of the lap bar), then tinker with it to see if the lap bar light will come on. I've never heard of anyone having any luck jumping any of the lap bar connector wires together. I tried jumping wires on a similar seat sensor with no luck, back when I didn't understand how those sensors worked. Pse keep us posted on progress! :) ---Bobbie G.

I took the seat bar off and removed the sensor. I could get the seat bar sensor to come on by manually turning the magnet in the sensor. The problem i found was the plastic keyed bushing had a grove wore in it and was preventing the magnet to get close enough to the switch to close the circuit. A $1.50 repair part from bobcat. Thank you everyone for your help.

Glad you sorted it out. Nor the first person to have this happen.

Hey, cblechle, good show! Glad that was an easy fix for you. Write that repair bill down on the wall, because you're unlikely to ever find another Bobcat part for that price! And thx for the feedback to the forum. That's what makes us all get smarter. :) ---Bobbie G.
