I borrowed the neighbors skid steer and after I returned it I saw the bearing cap off and the outer bearing completely missing. I found the parts diagram online but I'd like a little advice on removing the entire wheel hub so I can inspect/replace the inner bearing. I looks like I have to open an access cover at the wheel and break the chain OR unbolt the sprocket from the hub and leave the chain together. Am I on the right track?

I think this loader is older than th models Im familiar with. On the LX series loader you take the plate off between the tires. Unbolt the axle housing. The holes on the housing are sloted . slide it back to get slack in the chain to slip it off the sprocket. There is no master link on the newer loaders. I dont know about yours. The sprocket is on a splined shaft. when you unbolt the axle housing and get a little lack in the chain you might be able to just slide everything off the sprocket. the sprocket will just drop into the chain case. I hope Im steering you right. Mike
