Got it to my property yesterday. Hired a good roll back that had no problem pulling it on. I did take a come along and raised the arms a bit to get some clearence. It didn't want to slide off so we lubed the roll back deck with some used oil. That did it! I flipped the ROPS and started cleaning up inside the chassis. I was able to dig out the broken splined shaft and coupler with remnents of u-joint. I'm assuming the the other half of the u-joint is still attached to the flywheel. Reading the post in the other 843 thread, I'll have evaluate the condition of the flywheel. I'll post photos next post. I also cleaned a bunch of mulch out of the drivers compartment. Do these mulch merchants EVER clean their machines? So much under the peddles it was actually restricting the controls. The odd pin in the right arm appears to be a large bolt with the threads machined off. That will definitely be replaced.I know the feeling, something that is very obvious that you don't notice as you are looking for major issues.
Can't wait to hear what it's like when you finally get it into the shop ans assess the damage.
