I work disaster relief with my church and we had an older deer foot control. Now we have been blessed with a new Kubota joystick. I am learning the controls and the boom was very jerky up and down. I got the technician out and he said that I was not working the joystick right. That you need to pull all the way back to raise the boom. Granted it doesn't jerk then but is there no way to regulate the speed of raising and lowering it? Thanks in advance for any information.

try to run the machine at a lower rpm till you get used to the controls, If you have a hand speed control set it around + or- 1500 rpm and leave the foot control alone (if you have one) and get used to the machine , increase the rpm as you get more comfortable and smoother operating it, it just takes time, you will get there.
