I have a 2017 SSV75 with 2900 hours that has started shuddering when under load. It stops driving and you can feel the shuddering through the controls.
It feels like it could be the drive chains jumping teeth but there is minimal play in the wheels when jacked up. It could be something in the hydraulic pump as it seems to effect both drive sides when under load. Any ideas?

Hi Blatchy,

I have the same machine (SSV75) and have several contacts around Colorado with this same or similar machine (SSV65). It really sound to me like it's a flow issue which could be several items.
1. How clean is your hydro fluid and could you have water or other contamanents?
2. With the hours on your machine how often have you maintained your hydro fluid? This really does have a direct correlation to the total hours you'll get from your hydro pump.
3. I think that this is probably your hydro pump in your fluid is clean. I've help a friend replace his hydro pump last year and it isn't a difficult job if you have some experience around a wrench. His pump started doing the same thing at just over 3,500 hrs and his fluid was quite "dirty" with particulates.

Good luck,
