Hello My 1998 lx665 will not start unless I hot wire the fuel pump. If I put 12v to the fuel pump then the thing will start fine with the key. I have to turn the key on and let it do the glow plug count down before I sit down in the seat or the screen on the skid steer shows "ERROR". It will still start and run with the error code on the screen, but I cant arrow through anything on the screen when the error code is displayed. If I let the count down go to zero and then sit in the seat, the board does not show the error code and I can arrow through the menu on the board seeing temp, hours ect.... One guy said its the board that is the problem, but I have heard others say its a solenoid. How can i Figure out what it is? I have also heard its near impossible to get a board for these units. Is there a source for the boards in these units?

Sounds like the instrument panel. Since it is saying error, you must have the original style board. You can tell the original style boards from later boards by the color of the outlines around the lights. The original boards were outlined in gray and the later boards were outlined in gold. The original boards were subject to corrosion and thus not repairable. The later gold outlined boards can be rebuilt most of the time. New boards are available from NH. If you know someone with a NH loader see if you can remove their board and try it in your machine. It may not fit the slot, but can still be plugged in to check the operation. Your dealer may also have loaner boards.
