Hi I have a skid steer New Holland LS 180 I hear noise increasing when i drive forward or backward on the left side . What is wrong what parts are going bad ?????? Please Help Thank You
You might want to first raise the loader and check the axles for excess play in and out. If you have a bearing going out it will make a noise. If the axles are ok then there is a gearbox between the hydrostat motor and the chain case. The gearbox is lubricated from the chain case oil. The oil drips from the chains into a small funnel that feeds into a hole in the gearbox side. I have seen these holes plug and not allow oil into the gearbox. You might take the side cover off the chain case and check that the hole is open. You will see the funnel when you remove the plate. If it is plugged you can try and pour some oil into the hole. The oil is 80w90. If the noise is not the gear box, then you might have excess slack in the drive chains.I moved your post. You should get more visibility here. Cheers - SR
