New Holland LS180 reliability

Hi there, Looking at a used 2001 New Holland LS 180 skid steer with 1800 hours on it. Maintenance has always been done by the dealer. I talked to the owner, he says he never did any repair on this machine, just regular basis maintenance. Is this a reliable machine? How much should I be prepared to invest for repairs in the next 1000 hours? Any typical majors repais at that point? He's asking 15 000$ for it, which is, in our market a fair price. No one can tell you how much you should expect to pay in the next 1000 hours. Basic maintanence is engine oil and filter, air filters, chain case oil, hydraulic oil, you will have this expense no matter what machine you buy. This is assuming nothing breaks, as it should not just break but its something that can always happen.

I know what to expect as for basic maintenance (oil, grease, filters, etc) like any truck. But is there any repairs that you always expect to do at 1500, 2000, 2500...etc (joints, bushing, hydraulics, hoses, starter, electrical, etc) If I was looking at a truck with 100k miles on it and the owner says he hasn't done any repairs except maintenance (oils, lubrification and filters) I know I should be prepared to invest up to 5000$ to reach 150k miles. It can be less or a bit more If I'm not lucky, but nobody gets to 150k without any repairs on a truck. The machine has been well maintained but he hasn't done any repair yet except basic maintenance like you mentionned.

The only thing i can think you *may* be up for is a timing belt if its fitted. Some engines use belts, others use gears that never need replacing.
U-joints just need grease, i'm not sure if NH use U-Joints or a steel and rubber bonded plate.
Nothing comes to mind that MUST be replaced other than standard parts that you already know about.
