I've got an New Holland LS170 that was running fine and then threw an F04 code (fuel solenoid) but did not shut off. It continued to run just fine. I parked it and restarted and got the F04 code again but, once again, it runs fine (just has a blank display with only the F04 code showing). Knowing the problem was NOT the fuel solenoid (since it runs) I went ahead and replaced it anyway but, of course, it didn't help. I went through diag mode and everything seems to be OK. Also cleared all the existing codes. When I turn the key on I got an immediate F04 code again. Note that I did leave the battery disconnected overnight as well with no change.
Anybody have any idea what is going on???? I'm starting to get afraid I have a control board failure. Since they don't make them anymore that is very problematic.
thanks, Glen
