Hi everybody, boy am I glad there is help like this. So heres my my story- I have a 1997 8875, it runs great everything works good (after I fixed the creep) but I cant get the 2 speed to work. Its not the solonoid, thats new. I tested for power it has 12V at the connector leading to the solonoid, but no dice. Is there an easy fix/adjustment for this? Now its stuck in high This is my first machine so I learn as I go.....

I believe the 8875 is the same as a New Holland Lx885. Does the connector lose and gain 12V if you work the switch while checking for power. The switch could be bad If this is the case then it sounds more like a mechanical problem. Check under the neutralizer assembly, there should be a spring hooked to the two speed linkage. It sounds like that is broken or missing. When power is cut to the two speed valve the spool switches to return and a spring pulls the linkage together collapsing the cylinder pulling the drive motors to low speed. If the spring is there and not broken, try collapsing the cylinder w/ a pry bar the linkages could just be bound up.

get rid of it my 8875 is just been a headache and a pain in the ass get a new holland or a bobcat yes deere makes a good product but when they go down its expensive
