Need help identifying little black box: 2015 Bobcat T450

Hi all,

Machine is a 2015 Bobcat T450 with 2000 hours purchased used last year.

I had the cab hinged up yesterday working on a fueling issue but noticed this little black box on the left side of the underside of the cab very close to the seat bar assembly that had a black wire with white stripe dangling from it that looked to have been pinched and severed. I examined all of the wiring harnesses that the wire was long enough to go to but for the life of me can't figure out where it might go or have been severed from. It's on the left side, visible when cab is swung up to work, located on the engine side of the seat bar assembly (from this one pic I have, you can see it's also close to the upper cab strut mount). I only have the one pic but will get a better one later today.

Potentially related, when I swung the cab back and went to start the machine for the first time, I got a M1606 parking brake short to ground code with parking brake indicator light blinking and not able to disengage the parking brake with the parking brake button or by lowering of seat bar. When I went to raise the cab to inspect again, parking brake worked fine when I reinstalled the cab and went to try again.

Please help me get to the bottom of this one! Thanks!

In picture "20240312_094538.jpg"; it looks like there is a part's label sticker. Can you get a part number off of it?

Joystick driver controller (6679485) perhaps. On side bolted to cab panel, possibly a large junction block of wires?

I'm guessing LoJack or a similar device. If a company or rental owned this before you it is likely

Hahaha! Thanks for posting. Yes, the machine did come from a construction company so that makes perfect sense, especially since the power wire is just dangling there and the machine runs just fine (especially after a new battery, oil/filters and fuel pickup screen).

The next time the cab is up, I'll grab the part number off of it before removing it entirely. Thanks everyone for posting.
