I'm sure one would cost close to $100 at bobcat---dont wanna do that. I pulled off the ultimate bobcat bonehead stunt yesterday by raising the rop without unpluging the wire harness(this machine is nothing like my 700), therefore you know why I need a manual. I tried to download one from this site yesterday but my pc said address did not exist. Any help here would be appreciated. thanks

Service manuals for 743.

The 743 ROP can be raised without disconnecting anything, except the hold down bolts, so your loom must be routed incorrectly or has been modified.

Thanks Luther& old machinist. My pc aborts download at about 80% for some reason,so I bought a cd off ebay. The only way I see it working would be to have a 3 ft coil of loom behind the seat. I got it fixed and plugged in but I had to grunt to do it. Thanks again

The harness should not be fastened at the base of the rops, only at the top behind the fuel tank, this is the pivot point too so there is no reason for it to pull the cables. It sounds like someone tied it to the ROPS by mistake. It should have two points its fixed, one near the TOP of the fuel tank on the ROPS its self and one at the base of the chassis at the base of the fuel tank. This is the point it attaches to the engine bay harness. Let me know if thats not clear, i can take a picture of mine to show routing, its very simple and does not require any effort. You can lift the ROPS and work on it without disconnecting the harness.

You are rite, someone slamdunked the harness and messed it up pretty good. I'll redo it with new wire, loom and trailer plugs at engine comp. Knowing where the pivot is located is the ticket. thanks Tazza
